Planted in the Freestone area on the border of the Russian River and Sonoma Coast, Bohemian displays colors of deep red with lashings of purple in the glass. This harvest screams of pristine Russian River Pinot aromatics that reach out and almost slap you right in the face. If ever there was a “text book” case of Pinot aroma, this must surely be it! The tight fruit and solid tannins throughout the palate also show plenty of natural acidity. These '07s possess lovely, lip-smacking structure that have you reaching for yet another sample again (and again).

Given the distinct qualities of the Freestone microclimate, the Clearys already had a location advantage for producing world-class wines. But in order to ensure the quality of their end product, they also knew that they had to start with the finest raw material. Thus, all of the vines in the Bohemian Vineyard use 101-14 rootstock and are equally divided between Dijon 115, 667, and 777 clones. In combination, these selections work beautifully since the first two contribute to the wine's structure while the latter delivers classic Pinot Noir aromatics and flavor characteristics.
